Lin Ting-Yu (b. 1994, Yilan, Taiwan) studied film before earning a BFA in Fine Arts from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2020. She currently lives and works in Taipei, where she focuses primarily on painting. Her practice integrates automatic techniques, symbolic forms, and fragmentary collage, drawing from personal experience while engaging structural inquiries into history, cultural perception, and image formation.

Her works construct a visual language through the interplay of material, form, and composition. Unnamed shapes and residual structures frequently emerge, situated between totems, fragments, and non-verbal visual systems. Through layered processes of compression and intervention, he explores how material can carry temporal density and preserve traces of transformation.
